STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE <br /> FOR PROPERLY DESTROYING GROUNDWATER <br /> MONITORING AND EXTRACTION WELLS <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> 3.5 Knock out the plug from the end of the auger. <br /> 3.6 Lower a tremie pipe down through the center of the auger, to the bottom of the <br /> borehole. <br /> 3.7 Begin pumping thin neat cement grout down the tremie pipe and into the auger,,,- <br /> grouting <br /> uger,,,grouting the borehole from the bottom upward. <br /> 3.8 While continuing to grout the borehole from the bottom upward using the tremie <br /> pipe, remove the auger at 5-foot intervals. Collect any water displaced by the <br /> cement and flowing from the auger. Transfer the collected water into drums. <br /> 3.9 Continue removing auger and grouting the borehole from the bottom upward <br /> using the tremie pipe, until all auger flights have been.removed from the <br /> borehole. <br /> 3.10 Fill the remaining borehole with neat cement grout to approximately 2 feet below <br /> ground surface. <br /> 3.11 Backfill remaining surface depression with native soil. <br /> 3.12 Finish surface to match surrounding surface per City of Tracy requirements. <br /> 3.13.
