Groundwater Sample Collection <br /> h <br /> i <br /> • Groundwater samples will be collected by lowering previously unused, disposable, <br /> polyethylene, bottom-filling bailers into the well" fter time had been allowed for f <br /> recharge. <br /> When full, the bailer will be carefully retracted froom the well casing. F <br /> • Using a new bottom-emptying device to minimize agitation of the water, the water <br /> will be transferred from the bailer to the sample containers. <br /> • Water samples for VOC analysis will be collected in 40-m1 glass vials preserved;with r <br /> HCl. ' <br /> • Upon filling, each vial will be immediately cape Jd. The vial will be checked for air <br /> bubbles by inverting and,gently tapping the vial. If any bubbles will be visible, the ' <br /> �a vial will be carefully refilled and confirmed to be'free of any air bubbles. <br /> All samples will be labeled with the following information: <br /> Sample ID " Date and Time.Sample'�Collected <br /> Location Sampler's Initials j <br /> Project Number p <br /> • .
