1 <br /> • URS <br /> Ms Carol Oz, R E H S T Page 2 <br /> LOP/Site' Mitigation Unit g <br /> San Joaquin County—Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> ' December 7, 2000 <br /> could be removed from the Site The UST was removed by SEMCO on May 18, 2000 Analytical <br /> ' results for soil samples collected following the UST removal were non-detect <br /> In June 2000, URS drilled and sampled three soil borings at the Site A groundwater monitoring well <br /> ' was installed in each of the three borings Soil and groundwater samples were collected and submitted <br /> for laboratory analysis The analytical results for the soil samples reported concentrations of TPH-G, <br /> xylenes and MTBE The groundwater samples reported concentrations of TPH-G, benzene, toluene, <br /> ' ethylbenzene, xylenes, MTBE and TAME The well installation activities and analytical results were <br /> presented in URS' Letter Report far Environmental Services at the California Highway Patrol Facility <br /> Located at 385 West Grantline Road to Tracy, California, dated September 14, 2000 <br /> ' FIELD ACTIVITIES <br /> Groundwater monitoring and sampling activities were conducted by URS on October 31, 2000 <br /> Quarterly groundwater monitoring included measuring the depth to groundwater in each of the three <br /> groundwater monitoring wells In addition, the groundwater wells were purged and groundwater <br /> samples were collected for chemical analysis The groundwater samples were analyzed for TPH-G using <br /> modified EPA Method 8015, and BTEX, MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE, and TAME using EPA Method <br /> ' 8260B <br /> Groundwater Monitoring <br /> i <br /> Groundwater level measurements were recorded by URS on October 31, 2000 Table 1 summarizes the <br /> quarterly monitoring and groundwater elevations for the Site Groundwater levels and visual <br /> ' observations were recorded in the sampling data sheets, provided in Attachment I All equipment <br /> lowered into each well was cleaned with a mixture of alconox detergent and tap water, rinsed with tap <br /> water, and then rinsed with deionized water prior to usage URS measured the depth to groundwater in <br /> ' each well from the top of the well casing using an electric sounder Depth to groundwater at the Site is <br /> approximately four feet below ground surface <br /> 1 <br />
