1 <br /> i <br /> 1 FIELD INVESTIGATION REPORT <br /> 541 West Grant Line Road <br /> Tracy, California <br /> 1 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents the results of a field investigation program conducted by Treadwell &Rollo <br /> for the 541 West Grant Line Road property (541 Site) located in Tracy, California (Figure 1) <br /> Currently, the 541 Site land use is commercial with a Sherwin Williams building located on the <br /> 1 south portion of the property and undeveloped land on the north portion Future land use and <br /> development is anticipated to be commercial <br /> 1 <br /> In July 2002, the 541 Site was listed as a Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) <br /> 1 Spills, Leaks, Investigation, and Cleanup (SLIC)program site under the assumption that onsite <br /> activities, other than leaking underground storage tanks (LUSTs), had contributed to <br /> 1 groundwater contamination Available information on the 541 Site and adjacent properties was <br /> subsequently compiled in the Site Assessment Report (Treadwell & Rollo, 2003a) The Sate <br /> 1 Assessment Report evaluated whether onsite groundwater contamination was the result of past <br /> activities at the 541 Site or the results of offsite activities The Site Assessment Report concluded <br /> 1 that there was no evidence of an onsite source and it was likely that the groundwater <br /> contamination was from an offsite source The Field Investigation Work Plan (Treadwell & <br /> ' Rollo, 2003b) and the related field investigation described in this report were performed based <br /> on an 8 July 2003 discussion with Ms Wendy Cohen of the Central Valley RWQCB <br /> ' (CVRWQCB) Ms Cohen indicated that the CVRWQCB needed additional subsurface <br /> information to fully evaluate the potential contaminant contribution from the 541 Site <br /> 2.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br /> 1 <br /> The objective of the field investigation was to collect the data needed to assess the nature and <br /> 1 extent of onsite soil and groundwater contamination and to further evaluate potential offsite <br /> Field Investigatxon Report 1 8 December 2003 <br /> ' TREADWELL&ROLLO,INC <br />
