4 <br /> ' Phase I —Prelzmina , Sam ling <br /> ' • Collecting between 20 and 25 soil samples for chemical testing, and <br /> • Collecting and testing between 20 to 25 groundwater grab samples <br /> ' Phase 2—Subsequent Investigation <br /> ' Based on the results of the Phase 1 investigation, additional data may be collected as follows <br /> • Drilling and installing one to three onsite groundwater monitoring wells, <br /> in <br /> Sam land <br /> Sampling testing groundwater from the onsite wells for chemical parameters, and <br /> ' • Surveying the well and sampling locations <br /> A technical report will be prepared summarizing our findings The soil sample data will provide <br /> further information on possible onsite source areas And the groundwater grab data will be used <br /> as a screening tool to delineate water quality across the Site and offsite in proximity of the <br /> ' . property The Phase 2 information may be needed to further evaluate groundwater parameters <br /> ' 3.0 SITE BACKGROUND <br /> ' The Site property is located at 541 West Grant Line Road in Tracy, California(Figure 1) The <br /> 16 acre property is an elongated strip of land approximately 125 feet wide by 595 feet long <br /> ' (Figure 2) The site is generally flat with ground surface elevations between approximately 21 to <br /> 25 feet mean sea level (msl) Currently, the southern portion of the Site, along West Grant Line <br /> ' Road, is developed with a single story commercial building and adjacent paved parking lot <br /> (Figure 2) The building was constructed in 2001-2002 and is currently occupied by Sherwin <br /> ' Williams and other tenants The northern portion of the Site is undeveloped and has an unlined <br /> storm water basin with an approximate dimension of 46 feet by 150 feet The soil removed <br /> ' during the excavation of the storm water basin was spread across the undeveloped portion of the <br /> Site creating a grade increase of approximately 2 feet Mr Tom Brenkwitz is currently the <br /> ' owner of the property and building <br /> FW4Investigation Work Phan 2 2 September 2003 <br /> TREADWELL&ROLLO,INC <br />
