4 KLEINFELDER
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS
This proposal and the attached cost estimate are based on the following assumptions
and responsibilities:
• The Kamilos Group will supply Kleinfelder with access to the site and written
owner authorization for the proposed scope of work.
• We anticipate meetings (both formal and informal) will be conducted with the City
of Stockton, Calwater, Inc., land planning team members and PCCPML. Our
attached cost estimate is based upon approximately 250 hours spanning a time
frame from October 2005 to February 2006. If additional time is required by The
Kamilos Group to complete the task of aiding in the preparation of the water
conservation plan and integrated water management plan, then a contract
amendment for increased fees will be required.
• The fee estimate for permits is based on the site being considered one
continuous project by the permitting agency. If the site is broken into individual
parcels by the permitting agency, additional permit fees may be required.
• Deactivation of each well will be required to obtain a water level in each well prior
to sampling. If deactivation of the wells or a suitable water level sounding port is
not available a water level will not be recorded at the time of sampling.
• PCCPML will aid Kleinfelder in activating each well for possible sampling by
providing access.
• Adequate workspace and access will be provided.
• Water generated during the drilling, development, and sampling will be the
responsibility of the client. Purge water will be assumed as non-contaminated,
and as such it will not be contained and will be dispersed to the ground surface
and left on site.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE
The anticipated schedule is not meant to be a definitive timetable but instead meant to
provide PCCPML an estimate of the time to complete each task. We will be reviewing
the team schedule provided by PCCPML, looking for where we will integrate into the
overall schedule. Our anticipated schedule is included as Attachment D.
LIMITATIONS
Kleinfelder offers various levels of investigative and engineering services to suit the
varying needs of different clients. Although risk can never be eliminated, more detailed
and extensive investigations yield more information, which may help understand and
manage the level of risk. Since detailed investigation and analysis involves greater
02001 PROP.ENV/ST05P346R/JDZ:ly Page 10 of 12
©2005 Kleinfelder, Inc. December 2, 2005
