(n) General Prevailing Rate Contractor is hereby notified that pursuant to Section <br /> 1770 et Seq Of the Labor Code of the Status of the State of California, the City <br /> Council of the City has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages <br /> and the rates for legal holiday and overtime work for the locality in which the <br /> work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed <br /> to execute the Contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder <br /> (o) Addenda Any addenda or clarification supplementing the drawings or plans and <br /> specifications issued prior to the time set for the opening of the bids shall be <br /> covered in the bid and shall be made a part of the Contract <br /> (p) Opening and Comparison_of Bids Bids will be opened and read at the time <br /> indicated in the Notice Inviting Bids <br /> (q) Construction Site The Contractor shall confine his construction operations <br /> within the easement or street right-of-way limits The Contractor shall, at his own <br /> initiative, make special arrangements with the property owners or public agency <br /> concerned for additional work area needed at no cost to the City Any damage <br /> to property, either inside or outside the limits of(construction) right-of-way shall <br /> be the responsibility of the Contractor The Contractor will be required to furnish <br /> the City written releases from property owners or public agencies where side <br /> agreements or special easements have been made by the Contractor or where <br /> the Contractor's operations, for any reasons, have not been kept within the right- <br /> of-way <br /> The Contractor, at his own expense, shall provide and maintain enclosed toilets <br /> for the use of employees engaged in the work Those accommodations shall be <br /> maintained in neat and sanitary conditions They shall also comply with all <br /> applicable laws, ordinances and regulations pertaining to public health and <br /> sanitation <br /> The Contractor shall at his own expense furnish, install, repair, maintain and <br /> remove all temporary light, power and water, including piping, wiring, lamps and <br /> other equipment necessary for the work <br /> Prior to final acceptance of the work, the Contractor shall thoroughly clean the <br /> premises, remove all temporary structures built dunng the protect, and remove <br /> all equipment and surplus material from the area All storage areas and <br /> temporary construction easement areas shall be returned to their original <br /> condition prior to beginning construction of the project <br /> (r) Geotechnical Investigation Investigations of subsurface conditions have not been <br /> performed at the site specifically for this project Any test hole data, water table <br /> elevations, or soil analyses of record shown on the plans or referenced in the <br /> Specifications apply only at the location of the test holes and to the depths <br /> indicated The elevation of the water table shown on any document is that which <br /> existed on the date when the test hole data was taken A difference between the <br /> groundwater elevation from previous test hole data shown on the plans or <br /> referenced in the Specifications and the groundwater elevation actually <br /> August 2001 Division 1 -6 Ball Park& Park& Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
