L <br /> 1 <br /> _ (i) Return of Bidder's Guarantees Fifteen (15) days after the award of the contract, <br /> s the City Clerk will, upon request, return the bid guarantees accompanying each <br /> of the bids which are not to be considered in making the award All other bid <br /> guarantees will be held until the contract has been finally executed, after which <br /> they will be returned to the respective bidders whose proposals they accompany <br /> Pro ect Schedule and Order of Work The Contractor shall submit to the Director <br /> f <br /> of Development & Engineering Services a practicable progress schedule within <br /> ten (10) calendar days of the written "Notice to Proceed", and within five (5) <br /> calendar days of the Engineer's written request at any other time The schedule <br /> ' shall show the order in which the Contractor proposes to carry out the work, the <br /> dates on which he will start the several salient features of the work (including <br /> procurement of materials, plant and equipment), and the contemplated date for <br /> completing the said salient features <br /> p As provided in Section 5-1 05 of the State Standard Specifications, "Order of <br /> Work", the Contractor is advised that the Engineer's may further direct by areas <br /> on the site, the order of installation of each major item of work so that <br /> succeeding major items of work may have timely and simultaneous access and <br /> that failure to comply with directions of the Engineer concerning the order of <br /> ` work may be cause for damages should work under the same be delayed <br /> r (k) Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages The Contractor shall begin work <br /> within fifteen (15) calendar days after receiving "Notice to Proceed" and shall <br /> diligently prosecute all work to completion as specified before the expiration of <br /> EIGHTY EIGHT (88) CALENDAR DAYS <br /> from the date of receipt of the "Notice to Proceed" from the City This project is <br /> tentatively scheduled to be awarded at the September 4, 2001, City Council <br /> meeting, and the "Notice to Proceed" is anticipated to be issued on or around <br /> i September 5, 2001 <br /> In case of failure on the part of the Contractor to complete the work, the <br /> Contractor shall pay the City in liquidated damages the sum of FIVE HUNDRED <br /> DOLLARS ($500 00) for each calendar day beyond the day specified until the <br /> L project is completed The Contractor will be given credit for inclement weather, <br /> delays, as provided for in the State Standard Specifications <br /> i' <br /> i (1) Prosect Estimate The Engineer's Estimate will not be released until the bids are <br /> publicly opened <br /> s (m) Prosect Billing The successful contractor shall be issued a Purchase Order <br /> Number The Contractor shall submit a request for payment prior to the 25th day <br /> „ of each month in order to receive payment in the following month Such <br /> requests for payments are verified by the inspector/engineer and normally <br /> processed within three to four weeks by the City Each request for payment <br /> i shall reference the Purchase Order Number Change Orders or additional work <br /> shall receive separate purchase order numbers <br /> f <br /> August 2001 Division 1 -5 Ball Park& Park& Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
