SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> SECTION 1 - DEFINITIONS <br /> The work embraced herein shall be done in accordance with provisions of the City of <br /> Tracy Standard Specifications dated November 1988, unless modified by these Special <br /> Provisions <br /> Provisions of the specifications and standard plans entitled "State of California, <br /> Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications, and Standard Plans, dated July, <br /> 1992" are hereinafter referred to as "THE STATE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS" <br /> Whenever in the "THE STATE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS", the following terms are <br /> used, they shall be understood to mean and refer to the following <br /> "Department of Public Works or Department of Transportation" - The City Council of the <br /> City of Tracy <br /> "Director or Director of Public Works" - The Director of Development & Engineering <br /> Services of the City of Tracy <br /> "Engineer" -The City Engineer of the City of Tracy acting either directly or through <br /> properly authorized agents, such as agents acting within the scope of the particular <br /> duties entrusted to them <br /> "Laboratory" - The designated laboratory authorized by the Director of Development & <br /> Engineering Services to test materials and work involved in the contract <br /> "State" -The City of Tracy <br /> .City" - The City of Tracy <br /> In case of conflict between the contract documents, the precedence of documents shall <br /> be in accordance with Section 2 09 of the City of Tracy Standard Specifications, dated <br /> November 1988, and that among "Reference Specifications" cited in this section, the <br /> Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction "Greenbook" has precedence <br /> over the State of California, Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications <br /> SECTION 2 - DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> The objective of the work described in these specifications is to construct two public <br /> water supply wells that will yield at least 2,500 gallons per minute (gpm) per well In <br /> achieving this objective, the production wells will be completed in water-bearing <br /> formations to a depth of about 1000 feet The work will be accomplished utilizing reverse <br /> circulation drilling equipment <br /> The work includes <br /> August 2001 Division 11 -1 Ball Park& Park& Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
