A The drilling of two 18-inch diameter test holes to a depth of 1000 feet, running <br /> geophysical logs, and obtaining water samples from aquifers selected by the <br /> Engineer <br /> B Reaming of the two test holes to 32 inches in diameter to the depth prescribed by the <br /> Engineer, running a caliper log, setting blank casing and louvered well casing, gravel <br /> packing, setting the cement seal, initial well development by airlift swabbing, further <br /> development by pumping with a deep well turbine pump, and establishing well <br /> characteristics through test pumping activities <br /> The final well bores shall be 32-inches in diameter in order to accept 18-inch diameter <br /> casing, a 4-inch gravel feed tube, a 4-inch sounding pipe, two 4-inch infection lines, <br /> and to provide an annular space of appropriate thickness to receive filter and grout <br /> seal media <br /> The work will also include fling of drilling reports, provisions for above ground mud <br /> pits, conveyance of water to the drill sites, disposal of water, cuttings, and drilling <br /> fluid, safety and protective measures, and other work incidental to the project <br /> The new "Ball Park" p roduction well will be located at the City of Tracy's Ball Park, <br /> located at 2001 Bessie Avenue, s/o 24th Street, in Tracy, CA <br /> The new "Park & Ride" p roduction well will be located at the City of Tracy's Park & Ride <br /> Parking Lot, located at 2650 N Naglee Road, No Grant Line Road, near State <br /> (Freeway) Route 205, in Tracy, CA <br /> SECTION 3 - DRAWINGS SPECIFICATIONS AND PERMITS <br /> Three sets of contract drawings and specifications will be furnished to the Contractor <br /> without charge Additional sets will be furnished on request at the cost of reproduction <br /> The Contractor shall procure all permits and licenses, pay all charges and fees, and give <br /> all notices necessary for lawful prosecution of the work All permits, licenses, and other <br /> I authorizations shall be secured in sufficient time to prevent delays to the work The <br /> Contractor shall comply with the provisions of said permits, licenses and other <br /> authorizations <br /> The Contractor is responsible for obtaining a copy of the Standard Specifications for <br /> Public Works Construction "Greenbook" 1994 edition (SSPWC), State of California <br /> Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and, Standard Plans July 1992, <br /> and any and all other reference specifications and manuals cited in these Contract <br /> Documents <br /> Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise <br /> provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract <br /> items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed <br /> • <br /> August 2001 Division 11 -2 Ball Park & Park& Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
