1 <br /> considered as included in theP <br /> rices aid for the various contract items of work involved <br /> P <br /> and no additional compensation will be allowed <br /> �f <br /> y SECTION 5— CONSTRUCTION STAKING <br /> All construction staking shall be done in accordance with Section 2 14 of the City of <br /> Tracy Standard Specifications Stakes or marks will be set by a State Licensed <br /> Surveyor or a State authorized Registered Civil Engineer to establish the lines and <br /> grades required for the completion of the work specified in these specifications and on <br /> the plans Contractor shall be responsible for providing such stakes or marks a <br /> reasonable length of time in advance of starting operations that require such stakes or <br /> marks Stakes and marks that are set by the contractor's surveyor or civil engineer shall <br /> be carefully preserved by the Contractor In case such stakes and marks are destroyed <br /> or damaged they will be replaced at the surveyor's earliest convenience The <br /> Contractor will be responsible for cost of necessary replacement or restoration of stakes <br /> and marks <br /> The Contractor shall be fully responsible for the accuracy of the construction staking <br /> Construction stakes and marks shall be furnished and set with accuracy to assure that <br /> the completed work conforms to the lines, grades, and section shown on the plans All <br /> > computations necessary to establish the exact position of the work from control points <br /> V/ shall be performed by the Contractor All computation, survey notes, and other records <br /> necessary to accomplish the work shall be neat, legible and accurate Such <br /> computations, notes, and other records shall be made available to the Engineer upon <br /> request and shall become the property of the City and delivered to the City <br /> Representative before acceptance of the project Construction stakes shall be removed <br /> from the site of the work when no longer needed It shall be the Contractor's <br /> 1 responsibility to notify the Engineer of any discrepancies found between field conditions <br /> and grades and notes shown on the plans <br /> 4 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise <br /> JI provided for, including all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals, and for <br /> F� doing all the work involved in the Construction staking necessary for completion of the <br /> work, all as specified in the Standard Specifications, these special provisions, and as <br /> directed by the Engineer, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the <br /> 1 various contract items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed <br /> ' SECTION 6 - MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION (Bid Item No s Al & 131) <br /> f� <br /> Mobilization and demobilization includes all project preparatory/completion work and <br /> operations, including but not limited to, those necessary for the movement of personnel, <br /> ' equipment, supplies and incidentals to and from the project sites, the establishment of <br /> facilities necessary to conduct the specified work on the project, and setting up and <br /> rigging down Additionally, this item shall include all related work and operations which <br /> must be performed prior to and after completion of the project, such as, obtaining <br /> �1 <br /> u <br /> August 2001 Division 111 -6 Ball Park& Park & Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
