B Casing points shall be furnished with a collar for welding Machine bevel the ends <br /> of each plain end casing point perpendicular to the casing axis to ensure the <br /> straightness of each assembled section Provide collars in accordance with the <br /> following standards <br /> 1 Collars shall be 5116 inch in thickness, 5 inches in length, and have the same <br /> chemical and physical properties as the corresponding casing section Roll the <br /> collar to ft the outside casing diameter, and weld to the casing section Grind <br /> longitudinal welds on the casing plain end to plate surface a sufficient distance <br /> from the end for insertion into the collar <br /> 2 Grind or scarf the inside edge of the collars and the outside edge of the <br /> adjacent casing length to remove sharp edges or burrs Machine section ends <br /> flat perpendicular to the axis of the casing so they do not vary more than 0 010 <br /> inch at any point from a true plane at right angles to the axis of the casing <br /> 3 Provide three 1-inch by 318-inch alignment holes in each collar to ensure proper <br /> matching of the sections <br /> C Furnish casing centralizers that provide at least one (1) foot length of bearing <br /> surface at the wall of the bore Centralizers shall be fabricated of the same <br /> material as each casing and screen section to which they are attached <br /> D Perform welding with shielded are electrodes <br /> E All casing material shall be new <br /> 202 WELL SCREEN <br /> A The well screen shall be of the louvered type, with machine-made openings that <br /> are perpendicular to the axis of the casing and of a louver form with the aperture <br /> facing downward The louvered screen shall be Roscoe Moss Ful Flo Shutter <br /> Screen or equivalent <br /> B The louvered well screen shall be stainless steel Type 304L manufactured in <br /> accordance with ASTM A778, applicable parts, with the following additions <br /> welding shall be by the gas tungsten-arc process using at least one pass on the <br /> inside and at least one pass on the outside The screen shall have a wall thickness <br /> 1 of 5116 inch and it shall be spiral welded <br /> C Slot openings of louvered well screen shall be 0 050-inch, for bidding purposes <br /> D The louvered well screen shall be 18-inch O D and shall not be fabricated in less <br /> than 20-foot lengths It shall be spiral welded and contain not more than one <br /> circumferential seam in 10 feet <br /> E Ensure that the inside diameter of the 18-inch well shutter screen is the same as <br /> the inside diameter of the 18-inch blank well casing <br /> F Joints for the steel well screen shall meet the same specifications as for the blank <br /> well casing <br /> G All well screen material shall be new <br /> r <br /> August 2001 Division 111 -23 Ball Park& Park & Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
