BRUNSWICK ROAD <br /> MANTECA, CALIFORNIA <br /> TERRACON PROJECT NUMBER: NA197073 <br /> Our office was contacted by Mr. Colin Culver of CNW Construction Inc. and Ms. . Marina Nunez <br /> of Kitchell to conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study (SSNLS)for the property <br /> at 5298 E. Brunswick Road, Manteca, California. The formatting of this report has been designed <br /> to follow,to the greatest degree possible, San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD) Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated September 25, 2007 and Nitrate <br /> Loading Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 1.1 Introduction and Development <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether site soils are suitable for <br /> septic system usage. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9- <br /> 1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet absorption rates as specified by EHD. A review <br /> of published soil information, geologic maps, and groundwater information was also performed. <br /> 1.1.1 Site Description <br /> The site consists of an approximately 14.0 acre tract of land located at 5298 E. Brunswick Road, <br /> Manteca, San Joaquin County, California, Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 197-040-06. At the <br /> time of the site reconnaissance the site was improved with the San Joaquin Delta College (SJDC) <br /> Manteca Center Farm and Agricultural Programs facility including an approximately 2,500 square <br /> foot(SF)existing classroom building, septic system, paved parking areas, water well, agricultural <br /> land, and storm water retention basin. Additional improvements include an approximately 1,000 <br /> SF office building with septic system, 1,700 SF shop/warehouse building, 800 SF greenhouse, <br /> and equipment storage yard. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer the site is zoned General Agriculture (AG- <br /> 40). Based on a review of the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> website, the AG-40 Zone "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agriculture enterprises." <br /> Responsive■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 3 <br />
