A water sample taken in 1988 found 140 ug/L of TPH-G. Water samples taken from monitoring wells on September of 1992 found the following concentrations of TPH-G: MW-1 220 ug/L I MW-2 blockage, no sample MW-3 0. 7 ug/L toluene MW-4 one inch free product Water samples from the soil borings on February 26, 1993 found the following concentrations for TRH-G: BH-1 Non Detect BH-2 3100 ug/L BH-3 Non Detect BH-4 160000 ug/L BH-5 11000 ug/L I BH-6 20000 ug/L BH-7 Not sampled Water samples from the monitoring wells on November 30, 1993 found the following concentrations of TPH-G: I MW-1 160 ug/L MW-2 Non Detect MW-3 Non Detect MW--4 41000 ug/L 6.0 DISCUSSIDN I 6. 1 Extent of Soil Contamination Soil around the tank excavation site is contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons. Seven soil borings, sampled at a depth of six feet found no contamination at 60 feet north of the tank site (BH-1) , 20 feet east of the tank site (BH-3) , and 30 feet south of the tank site (BH-7) . Contamination was observed 10 feet east of the tank site at 19 ppm of TPH (BH-2) , 30 feet west of the tank site at 79 ppm TPH (BH-6), 10 feet northwest of the tank site at 470 ppm of TPH (BH-4) , and 10 feet southwest of the tank site at 88 ppm of TPH (BH-5).
