b. Groundwater
The groundwater investigation phase was conducted to further assess
the horizontal and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon product
migration by Parker Environmental Services. The groundwater was
encountered approximately 19. 51 to 19.69 feet in March 1993 below
ground surface. The direction of the groundwater flow was found to
be southeast with a gradient of about 0. 0015. The pattern of
' contamination is consistent with the soil—sample data.
1. 3 Scope
' The scope of this work plan is focused on discussing the remedial action
to lessen, alleviate, abate, correct or clean up the effects of hazardous
materials released from the prior UST facility.
The goals and objectives of this site remediation work plan will be carried
out by conducting an in situ subsurface bioaugmentation process utilizing a
' proprietary natural occurring bacteria blend. It will be carried out by placing
a grid pattern of infiltration borings over the contamination plume. These
borings will be inoculated with the bioremediation bacteria. This is a one—time
application process and will have guaranteed results. The bioremediation will
eliminate the liabilities attached to this site from the contaminate plume. The
process used is one that is proven and has been effectively used in the United
:Mates and abroad for over fourteen (14) years.
2. CERTIFICATION
I, Donald W. James, having a business address of 3101 Sillect Avenue,
Bakersfield California 93308 (805) 326-0173.
CERTIFY: That Pacific Rim Environmental, a California-based Remedial Action
Contractor, exclusive agents for BIO—REM, INC. , has contracted with The Customer
Company (John Johnson) using BIO—REM, INC. ' s Augmented In—Situ Bioremediation
Process (TM) using BIO—REM, INC. ' s Proprietary Biocultures (H-10) . That the
process and product is warranted by BIO—REM, INC. to clean up the site until it
reaches levels approved by the PHS—EHD and CWQCB.
That we will complete this process in compliance with the regulations of
the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division and
the California Water Quality Control Board.
Donald W. James
V. P. , Pacific Rim Environmental
i2
