Mr. Michael Infurna
Page 2
MTBE was added to the constituents of concern list pursuant to correspondence from your office
dated August 1, 1996, which requested that MTBE and oil and grease be considered constituents
of concern and should be sampled for two consecutive 'quarters. In response to the referenced
correspondence, Ground Zero contacted the laboratory7 to review the chromatograms from the
second quarter 1996 analytical data to quantify MTBE. MTBE was determined to be
' nondetectable in all three wells, and the Table 2 was modified to reflect the results. The revised
laboratory report for the second quarter 1996 data is included in Attachment C. As we have
discussed, oil and grease was not added to the constituents of concern list based on three
M consecutive quarters of nondetectable results in 199411995.
'i
If you have any questions or comments, please contact 'ithe undersigned at (209) 952-3481.
1
Respectfully, k
Ground Zero Analysis, Inc.
6 ' ceAdo
 F-D GF0
Jeanne Buckthal zo
Sta Geologist N
GREGORY P.
