SANJ O A Q U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> COU "� rY <br /> Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from 1/9/2019 to <br /> 1/9/2020 for COAZOOOH6 located at <br /> 17000 E H WY 120 <br /> Activity Date Recorded by <br /> 11/04/2019 Elena Manzo with EHD notified of an ammonia release at the wine group located PE 2546 SAEED <br /> 24 min at 17000 E HWY 120, Ripon, CA. at 2:40pm I obtained the Complaint info., and SC 544 <br /> called the reporting pary, Jeff Atkinson at(209)253-9977. <br /> 1 discussed the release with Jeff, and the following information was provided. The <br /> release occurred on 11/03/2019 a little after 8pm. The release was discovered by <br /> the Cellar manager while was working in the area. The Cellar Manager, reported <br /> the release to the refrigeration manger immediately. The refrigeration operator <br /> responded, and isolated the system. The release was coming from the seal for the <br /> Ammonia Accumulation tank pump located outdoor in Area B. The system was <br /> isolated and the release stopped. The amount of ammonia release was estimated <br /> to be 15 lbs of release to the atmosphere, and calculation will be conducted later. <br /> Incident investigation has not started yet. Release has not been reported to Cal <br /> OES. <br /> No exposure or evacuation due to the release. <br /> I discussed with Jef to start the incident investigation within 48 hours of the <br /> release, and to report the release to Cal OES. I advised that I may be at the <br /> facility tomorrow morning for a follow-up. <br /> Received the Cal OES spill report( CNTRL# 19-7086) at 3pm. <br /> 11/04/2019 9:45 AM Received page and a pink short term complaint form from Genesis PE 2546 MURO <br /> 60 min Martinez at the front desk. Jeff Atkinson, 209-253-9977 called in a fifteen pound SC 544 <br /> ammonia release that occurred at The Wine Group in Ripon on 11-03-19. <br /> 9:51 AM I called Jeff Atkinson for more information. Jeff reported: <br /> -The ammonia release occurred due to a failed seal on suction accumulator on <br /> the compressor. <br /> - It was contained by isolating the valves and powering of the suction accumulator. <br /> They then drained off liquid. The liquid was then put back into the system. <br /> 10:04 AM I called Jeff back to ask if there was an evacuation or if anyone was <br /> hurt. Jeff said no one was hurt and there was no evacuation. <br /> I generated a complaint on Envision Connect. <br /> Completed a Prop 65 notification for the Wine Group. Took to supervisor for <br /> approval. Then took to office staff for mailing. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
