WORK PLAN ADDENDUM
December 1995
Jordan Realty
298 West Grant Line Road
Tracy, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
In accordance with the request of Mr. Bill Jordan, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has
prepared the enclosed Work Plan for Soil and Ground Water Investigation at 298 West Grant Line
Road in Tracy, California(the site). The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 - Location Map.
A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2 - Site Platt.
The work is performed in accordance with San Toaquin County Public Health Services -
Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites.
2.0. BACKGROUND
2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION
The site is located in a commercial/industrial area of central Tracy(Figure 1). The property is located
at the southeast corner of the intersection of Grant Line Road and Parker Avenue. One building, a
canopy and a metal storage shed are currently situated on the property (Figure 2).
2.2_ UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL
The property was operated as gasoline service station from 1960 to 1980. A total of four
underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the site in April 1988 one 1,000-gallon
gasoline UST; one 6,000-gallon gasoline UST; one 8,000-gallon gasoline UST; and one 1,000-gallon
waste oil UST. The USTs were removed from two separate excavations. The first excavation is
located on the west side of the canopy; the second (and larger) excavation is located north of the
building.
Upon removal of the USTs, soil and ground water samples were collected from the excavations.
Laboratory results of the soil and ground water samples indicated the presence of hydrocarbon-
impacted soil and groundwater at the site.
2.3. MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND SAMPLING
In September 1988, three ground water monitoring wells were installed by KleinfeIder, Inc.
