wG Lt '4 S
Go
Contaminated soil will be will be kept separate from
obviously contaminated soils. Contaminated soil will be placed on and covered with 6 mil plastic for
characterization for disposal at Forward Landfill in French Camp,San Joaquin County,CA-
Characterization
ACharacterization will consist of collecting soil samples from stockpiled soils as directed by County Health
officer and as required by disposal site. It is understood by City that characterization analysis may vary for
each site based upon source and type of Petroleum release. Other samples as may be directed by County Health
will be collected from excavation area. It is not the City's intent to undertake any form of remedial action for
parties responsible for Petroleum releases from the noted properties. However, contaminated soil will be
properly disposed of and not returned to excavations unless specifically allowed in writing by County Health,.
Work has started for the roadway improvement project and little notice is anticipated should soil contamination
be encountered. The phase of work that is most likely to encounter contaminated soil will commence
September 8, 1998.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and as discussed please forward copies to the appropriate case
officer.
Sincerely
4"j
ohm Lynch
Wright Environmental Services
