Contaminated soil will be placed on and covered with 6 mil plastic for <br /> characterization for disposal at Forward Landfill in French Camp,San Joaquin County,CA- <br /> Characterization <br /> ACharacterization will consist of collecting soil samples from stockpiled soils as directed by County Health <br /> officer and as required by disposal site. It is understood by City that characterization analysis may vary for <br /> each site based upon source and type of Petroleum release. Other samples as may be directed by County Health <br /> will be collected from excavation area. It is not the City's intent to undertake any form of remedial action for <br /> parties responsible for Petroleum releases from the noted properties. However, contaminated soil will be <br /> properly disposed of and not returned to excavations unless specifically allowed in writing by County Health,. <br /> Work has started for the roadway improvement project and little notice is anticipated should soil contamination <br /> be encountered.
