(AGE) has prepared this <br /> work plan for the abandonment of two of the six ground water )monitoring wails, at and near 298 <br /> Grant Line Road, Tracy, California(the site). <br /> Also enclosed are well destruction perinits and .he associated permit fees. Abandonment procedures <br /> will be scheduled upon appa-oval of this work plan. <br /> INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND <br /> One 4-inch diameter ground water monitoring wells, five 2-inch diameter monitoring wells were <br /> installed as part of a subsurface investigation of the former underground storage tank (UST) area at <br /> the site. The location of the site is illustrated in Figure I -Location Tap. In accordance with the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Service - Envirormiental Health Division('PHS-EHD') requirements, <br /> all wells must be properly abandoned to obtain final site closure. The well locations are illustrated <br /> on Figure 2 - Site Plan. <br /> PROCEDURES <br /> Each well will be filled with grout; pressure will be applied to each well fbr approximately three <br /> minutes to ensure grout penetration into the filter pack. Each well cover box will be removed and <br /> the well will subsequently be over-drilled to a depth of approximately 3 feet at a boring diameter of <br /> two feet.
