1
1 15 March 1996
' AGE-NC Project No 95-0105
' therefore, are probably not representative of ground water conditions immediately north of the former
UST excavations Furthermore, because soil was excavated around MW-3 and backfilled with
' imported material, samples collected from this well may not be representative of aquifer conditions
at the site
Laboratory analysis of grab ground water samples collected from the probings indicates that
hydocarbon-impacted ground water is present north and west of the site and east of the canopy area
within former UST excavation B The PHS-EHD will require the installation of additional ground
1 water monitoring wells to determine the lateral extent of the impact AGE recommends the
installation of three additional ground water monitoring wells one well should bbs installed along the
north side of Grant Line Road, a second well should be installed near the Awt rivest corner of the
' intersection of Grant Line Road and Parker Avenue, a third well should be installed northeast of the
former UST excavation B As petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water was detected in
probing P5, a fourth well should be considered for the area near the souteast corner of the canopy
' area, this well should replace MW-3
The next quarterly monitoring is scheduled for April 1996, however, we recommend installation of
the additional monitoring wells prior to ground water sampling event
' 6 0. LIMITATIONS
1 Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic
' conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of available
data points(i a monitoring wells, soil samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from these
data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations
' contained in this report
2 VA%d
VvaJ T y
VIT
1
1
