Closure Summary Report <br /> W.T. Jordan Property <br /> 298 West Grant Line Road, Tracy,California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr William Jordan,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) <br /> ' has prepared this Closure Summary Report(CSR) for the property located at 298 West Grant Line <br /> Road,Tracy, California (the site) The scope of work is to summarize assessment and remediation <br /> ' activities at the site and provide information necessary for closure consideration Furthermore, <br /> results of ground water monitoring and sampling performed on 19 March 1997 are included in this <br /> report The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated in Figure 1 - Location Map <br /> ' Significant structures and monitoring well locations are illustrated in Figure2- - Site Plan <br /> The CSR is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> ' Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites <br /> 20 BACKGROUND <br /> lip <br /> 2 1 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> ' The site is located in a commercial./industrial area of central Tracy(Figure 1) at the southeast corner <br /> of the intersection of Grant Line Road and Parker Avenue A single building, a canopy and a metal <br /> storage shed are currently situated on the property (Figure 2) <br /> 2 2 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> ' It is our understanding that the property was operated as a gasoline service Station from 1960 to <br /> 1980 Four underground storage tanks(USTs)were removed from the site in April 1988 one 1,000- <br /> gallon gasoline UST, one 6,000-gallon gasoline UST, one 8,000-gallon gasoline UST, and one <br /> 1,000-gallon waste oil UST The USTs were removed from two separate excavations The first <br /> excavation, referred to as excavation A was located on the west side of the canopy The second (and <br /> ' larger) excavation, referred to as excavation B was located north of the building Upon removal of <br /> the USTs, soil samples were collected from the excavations Laboratory analyses of the soil samples <br /> collected during the UST removal did not indicate the presence of hydrocarbon-impacted soil at the <br /> ' site However, hydrocarbon odors were noted during the USTs removals As a result of the UST <br /> removal the PHS-EHD then required the assessment of the release of petroleum hydrocarbons at the <br /> site The analytical results of all soil samples are summarized in Table I -Analytical Results Of Soil <br /> Samples Analytical results of the soil samples collected during the UST removal were included in <br /> the Preliminary Assessment Report,dated 30 November 1988, prepared by Kleinfelder, Inc <br />
