Report Preparation
Following receipt and analysis of all data, a report will be prepared which
summarizes the procedures and findings associated with this investigation. This
report will be submitted to Ibsen for their use and distribution.
Task 2. Locating Well MW-11
Using surveyor's data collected at the time of installation, GSI will attempt to locate
well MW-11. if found, the well will be made accessible for inclusion in the fourth
quarter 1997 sampling event.
Usk 3. VES Operation
GSI will continue to operate the VPS. Samples of the influent and effluent vapor
stream will be collected and analyzer) for TPHg and SITEX. Reports will continue to
be submitted on a quarterly basis.
'Trask A. Quarterly Monitoring Program
MPDS will continue to monitor and sample all accessible wells on a quarterly basis.
Samples will be analyzed for TPH& BTEX, and MTBE by EPA Method 8020. In
addition to TPHg and STEX, samples from well MW-2, which currently has the
highest dissolved concentrations, will be analyzed for MTBE, tertiary butyl alcohol
(TBA), di-isopropyl ether (RIPE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), and tertiary amyl
methyl ether (CAME) by EPA Method 8260. These samples will be collected during
the regularly scheduled fourth quarter 1997 sampling event, prior to installation of the
ORC. Results will continue to be reported on a quarterly basis.
If MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE, or TAME are detected in the sample from well MW-2,
a letter Work Plaut addendum will be submitted which will propose analyzing
groundwater samples from additional existing wells for these compounds using EPA
Method 8260.
Task S. Oxygen Releasing Compound
To help accelerate the natural breakdown and attenuation of the dissolved petroleum
hydrocarbons, GS1 will add ORC to well MW-2. Per the manufacturer's
recommendations, the well will not be purged for six months to allow the oxygen to
dissipate into the saturated zone. Dissolver) oxygen readings will be recorded for the
7BS5.21•! - 6
