The nearest surface stream is the Calaveras 'iver, <br /> approximately 0.6-mile south of the site. <br /> Based on previous work in the area by Applied GeoSystems, the <br /> depth to .first ground water at the site is estimated to be <br /> approximately 30 feet. Ground water is inferred to have a <br /> southeasterly gradient based on regional data supplied by <br /> California Water Service of Stockton, California. The water <br /> level and gradient are subject to seasonal variations with the <br /> rise and fall of the Calaveras River and local pumping rates. <br /> Proximitv to Wells and Utilities 1 <br /> i <br /> i <br /> The approximate locations of known nearby water supply wells are <br /> shown on Plate P--1. Data regarding the surface .locations of <br /> a <br /> these wells were obtained from California Water Service and the <br /> Stockton Municipal Utilities District. According to these <br /> records only one municipal water-supply well is located within <br /> E <br /> 2,000 feet of the site. This well is located at the corner of <br /> Bidwell Place and Bianchi Road approximately 1,800 feet southeast <br /> of the site. The well is maintained by California Water Service. <br /> City eater-supply wells maintained by the Stockton Municipal <br /> Utility District serve the area north ofthe site.
