This well will be used to evaluate contaminant
levels below the suspected source of contamination and evaluate.
F:
the. vertical extent of. soil contamination and potential ground-
water contamination. The other two monitoring wells will be
placed along margins of the contamination in specific locations
based on the results of the soil vapor survey.
- Soil Vapor Survey
Applied GeoSystems' soil vapor probe is designed to obtain
relative measurements of hydrocarbon concentrations in the soil
by analyzing the soil vapor. Soil vapor probes do not directly
evaluate absolute contamination levels because of a high number
of variables associated with subsurface soil conditions. The
- - -.Tf proposed investigation uses a system in which vapor samples are
B
sops•-&d G-00SYS MS
