Dividend Development Corporation October 23, 1991
Addendum Remediation Workplan Page13
free product will,be removed by the excavation equipment along with
the overlying contaminated soils, . and will undergo biotreatment
with the rest of the soils.
On June 7 , 1991 TTI ..field personnel encountered approximately one
inch (111) of floating free product in MW-2 , which is one (1) of
seven (7) groundwater monitoring .wells, on the property. No free
product was encountered in the other six (6) monitoring wells at
this time. The heavy "h -pro-t-uiict found`` ri--MW-2" 'was
immediately removed from the well and disposed of.
All seven (7) monitoring wells were sampled for a second time on
7/22/91 at which time no :free product was encountered in any of the
wells.
Because no free product was found in MW-2 or the other wells during
the most recent monitoring period, no plans are deemed to be
necessary for the extraction of free product from MW-2 or the other
six- (6.) monitoring wells.
ISSUE:
SUBSTANTIATE SOIL EXCAVATION BOUNDARIES:
As suggested in the memorandum from Mr. Higgins, during soil
excavation TTI field personnel will, be observing soils for signs of
contamination such as soil discoloration, oil sheens, and petroleum
odors. As mentioned earlier, a field map or incorporating visual
observations in the soils will be made by, the project geologist.
Toxic Technology, Inc.
