These tanks had been used in <br /> the past to store diesel fuel. Ramcon, of West Sacramento, <br /> California, conducted the tank removal operations and was <br /> responsible for notifying the appropriate local agencies. <br /> Four samples were collected from soil at a depth of approximately <br /> 14 feet (approximately 2 feet below the tank bottom) . The soil <br /> samples were analyzed for extractable hydrocarbons, and for <br /> volatile hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon constituents (benzene, <br /> ethylbenzene, toluene, and total xylenes) . These analyses are <br /> required by the San Joaquin Local Health District for tank <br /> removal investigations. Results of these analyses show no <br /> detectable contamination of the soil below the tank. The ground <br /> water sample collected from the bottom of the tank cavity showed <br /> only very low levels of hydrocarbon contaminants. Copies of all <br /> laboratory records of analyses are included in this report. <br /> Copies of this report have been forwarded to Mr. W. R. Snavely, <br /> of the San Joaquin Local Health District.
