August 26, 1987 AGS 87053-1
Reynolds and Brown, Tracy, California
ANALYTICAL RESULTS
- Four of the soil samples collected, S-0820-1, S-0820-2 , S-0820-3 ,
and S-0820-4, were tested for total volatile hydrocarbons (TVH)
and the volatile hydrocarbon constituents benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) (EPA Method 8020) , and
total extractable hydrocarbons (TEH) (modified EPA Method 8015)
by Applied GeoSystems' laboratory. Ground water sample W-0820-5
was also analyzed by Applied GeoSystems for TVH and BTEX by EPA
method 502 and for TEH by modified EPA Method 8015. Copies of
laboratory records of all analyses are included in the Appendix
of this report. The results of these analyses are presented in
Table 1.
` The results of these analyses indicate that there is no
detectable contamination of the soil present below the former
tanks, and only very low levels of contamination of ground water.
4 Only benzene was detected at concentrations in excess of action
levels recommended by the California Department of Health
Services for drinking water.
5
,opo/ied GeOSysteinS
