Pursuant to San Joaquin County "Well <br /> Standards", when a well no longer functions as originally designed or is <br /> abandoned, it must be destroyed under a well destruction permit. The <br /> monitoring well at this site has been abandoned and must be destroyed. <br /> Closure certification (no further action required) will be issued after the <br /> monitoring well at the site is destroyed. <br /> According to the "Well Standards", the existing monitoring well at the site must <br /> be properly destroyed under permit by a C-57 licensed contractor. Enclosed is a 111 <br /> permit application form, a list of environmental consultants and a list of licensed <br /> C-57 contractors.
