IN REPLY REFER TO SITE CODE: 2287
8715 W. Grantline Rd.
Tracy, CA
we are in receipt of the October 29, 1990, Addendum to Soil
Excavation and Aeration Report dated October 19, 1990. This
addendum clarifies field activities of August 17, 1990 in which
soil beneath the septic tank was over excavated to approximately 14
feet bgs encompassing the sampling point ME-1 (10. 3 ft. ) .
The confirmation sample collected (IT-41ST) and analyzed indicates
no residual contaminants remain in the excavation.
This letter confirms the completion of soil investigation and
remedial action for the underground storage tanks at the above
site. With the provision that the information provided to this
agency was accurate and representative of existing conditions, it
is the position of this office that no further soil remediation is
required.
Please be advised that this letter does not relieve you of any
liability under the California Health and Safety Code or Water Code
for past, present, or future operations at the site. Nor does this
letter relieve you of the responsibility to clean up existing,
additional or previously unidentified conditions at the site, which
cause or threaten to cause pollution or nuisance or otherwise pose
a threat to water quality or public health. It is also the
property owner's responsibility to notify this agency of any
changes in report content, future contamination findings or site
usage.
Clayton Environmental Consultant's letter of October 26, 1990,
addressing the well abandonments, does not meet the San Joaquin
County Public Health Services Well Ordinance minimum requirements
for destruction. The land owner shall bear the responsibility for
obtaining permits to properly abandon all production wells,
monitoring well #3 , and the septic system prior to January 11,
1991.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
