QUARTERLY FLUID-LEVEL MONITORING .• AND GROUND WATER SAMPLING REPORT Southland Location No. 24304 455 Grant Line Road Tracy, California October 1S, 1992 INTRODUCTION The enclosed report presents findings and conclusions of third quarter 1992 fluid-level monitoring and sampling for Southland Location No. 20304, 455 Grant Line Road, Tracy, California. A site vicinity map is shown in Figure 1, and a site plan presenting monitoring well locations is shown in Figure 2. PROJECT BACKGROUND In June 1992, The Southland Corporation retained Alton Geoscience to perform quarterly fluid-level monitoring and ground water sampling of Monitoring Wells MW-1 through MW-15. The project background is presented in Appendix A. FIELD ACTIVITIES On September 21, 1992,Alton Geoscience measured fluid-levels and collected ground water samples from Monitoring Wells MW-1 through MW-8, and MW-11 through MW-15. Samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G); benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX); and fecal coliform (F.C.). Due to a hydrocarbon sheen observed in MW-9 and MW-10, samples were not collected in these wells. Ground water monitoring and sampling procedures are presented in Appendix B. FLUID-LEVEL MONITORING Fluid-level monitoring results for September 21, 1992, previous ground water monitoring data obtained by others are summarized in Table 1. Fluid-levels were measured in all monitoring wells. The average depth to ground water was approximately 5.34 feet below grade (fbg) across the site,with a gradient of approximately 0.003 foot/foot to the northeast. Figure 3 shows a ground water elevation contour map based on fluid-level measurements. Soil drum sampling data for waste profiling is included in Table 2.
