Renton Village Place, Suite 700 Renton,WA 98055 Subject: Fourth Quarter 1997 Monitoring and Sampling Report Southland Site No.20304 +� 455 Grant Line Road Tracy,California Fluor Daniel GTI Project 02070 0456 Dear Mr. DeNinno: This Fourth Quarter 1997 Monitoring and Sampling Report presents the results of monitoring and sampling �. activities performed by Fluor Daniel GTI, Inc. (Fluor Daniel GTI) at the subject site(Figures 1 and 2, Attachment 1) on November 11, 1997. Activities conducted during this reporting period are summarized below. ■ Depth to water(DTW)was gauged in 11 groundwater monitoring wells and three groundwater extraction wells(Figure 2). V ■ Groundwater samples were collected from five wells:MW-4,MW-5, MW-8,MW-9,and MWA 0,and submitted to a certified laboratory for analysis for benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes(BTEX),total petroleum hydrocarbons-as-gasoline(TPH-G), and the oxygenates, methyl-tert-butyl-ether(MTBE),tert-butanol (TBA),diisopropyl ether (DIPS), ethyl-tert-butyl ether(ETBE), and tent-amylmethyl ether(TAME). LW Groundwater Monitoring Data Groundwater monitoring was performed on November 11, 1997. Prior to monitoring,the well caps were opened to allow the water level in each well to stabilize to atmospheric pressure. The DTW was measured to the nearest 0.01 foot from the top of the well casing using an ORS Environmental Equipment INTERFACE PROBE Well Monitoring System. Separate-phase (SP) hydrocarbons were not detected in any of the monitoring wells. The water table elevations, calculated from the November 11, 1997 monitoring data,were used to prepare a potentiometric surface map(Figure 2). The groundwater flow is generally toward the north at a hydraulic gradient of 0.002 ,r to 0.004 fttft. Groundwater monitoring results from the November 11, 1997 monitoring and sampling event are presented in Table 1,and historical results are summarized in Table 1A(Attachment 2). Field data sheets are included in Attachment 3. Monitoring Well Sampling and Analytical Results +-R Groundwater samples were collected from wells MW-4, MW-5,MW-8,MW-9,and MW-10.
