by Stantec for a well destruction method and could be completed. This option would not be applicable at the vapor well
as our access agreement with Target does not permit the use of explosive materials on their property.
Also, in the attached correspondence between myself and Nuel Henderson from January of this year it clearly states that
proposed method of well destruction of the sparge points and the grout ratio that was proposed. In his most recent
response he clearly states "Ratio is good,we'll try it, see how the first one goes and proceed accordingly." If I am not
mistaken, that is a clear indication that pressure grouting was conditionally approved pending the outcome of the
process in the field.
We have received orders from CVRWQCB (Emily Cushman) to either sample or destroy the remaining wells during
second quarter 2017. It seems unfair for SJCEHD to put us in the situation that we would have to sample wells, costing
more money, because destruction permits cannot be issued.
We understand the situation SJCEHD is in by having to issue permits and the potential risks that are taken when issuing
permits and we greatly appreciate the time and effort that goes into making these decisions.
Thank you.
Cheers
Tamera Rogers, GIT I AFS Project Manager I Tamera.Rogers@arcadis.com
Arcadis I Arcadis U.S., Inc.
6296 San Ignacio Ave, Ste C & D San Jose CA 1 95119 1 USA
T. +1 408 797 2013 1 M. +1 408 239 9616
Connect with us! www.arcadis.com I Linkedln I Twitter I Facebook I
01ARCA DIS
EXPLOREArcadis cow
DOWNLOAD OUR MOBILE APP
Be green, leave it on the screen.
From: Michael Kith [EH] [mailto:mkith@sicehd.com]
Sent: Monday,April 17, 2017 3:06 PM
To: Granborg,Jennifer<Jennifer.Granborg@arcadis.com>
Cc: Rogers, Tamera<Tamera.Rogers@arcadis.com>
Subject: RE: Well Destruction Permits (Site and Right of Way)-351515 4707 Pacific Avenue, Stockton -Additional items
requested by County
No,there is no indication that the pressure grout had been approved.
I do need the service request from you so I can process this further.
