I will review it.Thanks.
From: Rogers,Tamera [mailto:Tamera.Rogers@arcadis.com]
Sent:Thursday, November 03, 2016 9:08 AM
To: Nuel Henderson [EH] <nhenderson@sicehd.com>
Subject: RE:4707 Pacific Avenue, Stockton -Work Plan Addendum
The Work Plan Addendum we submitted addresses the technical justifications for pressure grouting the wells.
Thanks,
Tamera
T: +1.408.797.2013
M: +1.408.239.9616
From: Nuel Henderson [EH] [mailto:nhenderson@sjcehd.com]
Sent:Thursday, November 3, 2016 9:06 AM
To: Rogers,Tamera <Tamera.Rogers@arcadis.com>
Subject: RE:4707 Pacific Avenue, Stockton -Work Plan Addendum
Our county Well Standards permit pressure grouting except where there is known or suspected contamination. Our
Director has interpreted this to allow pressure grouting where site closure has been granted except where the well trace
passes through contaminated zones to uncontaminated ground water(or uncontaminated water overlies impacted
groundwater)—she does not want any potential for additional groundwater to be impacted by the contaminants, even if
the site is being closed. Please present a technical justification for each well you wish to pressure grout. Also note that
pressure grouted wells must be overexcavated to a depth of at least 3 feet bsg with the excavation to be one foot
greater in diameter than the original boring, with a mushroom cap extending 6 inches below and 6 inches above the top
of the casing that has been cut off 6 inches above the floor of the overexcavation. If you cannot meet the mushrooming
requirement, the well should be overdrilled. Our county well standards are available on our website sjcehd.com under
'Forms'.
NCH
From: Rogers,Tamera [mailto:Tamera.Rogers@arcadis.com]
Sent:Thursday, November 03, 2016 8:54 AM
To: Nuel Henderson [EH] <nhenderson@sjcehd.com>
Subject: RE: 4707 Pacific Avenue, Stockton -Work Plan Addendum
Thank you!
