' City of Tracy <br /> SECOR interviewed the City of Tracy Water District to identify the location of any city-owned <br />' or operated wells that may be within 2,000 feet of the site According to the water district, <br /> one municipal well is located at the intersection of Grant Line Road and Tracy Boulevard, <br /> approximately 1 3 miles (6,865 feet) east (crossgradient) of the site A field search verified <br /> the municipal well location <br /> Field Verification <br />' On August 26, 2003, SECOR visited the site to verify the location of six domestic water <br /> supply wells identified in the DWR well logs Five of the six well locations were confirmed at <br /> the addresses listed in Table 4 At each location, a pump tank was observed on the <br />' property The sixth well location could not be confirmed because the residence was <br /> inaccessible due to a gated driveway SECOR personnel drove public streets within the <br /> 2,000-foot search radius and did not identify any other wells visible from public right-of-ways <br />' Sensitive Receptors <br />' During the field search, SECOR looked for surface bodies of water that could act as sensitive <br /> receptors such as ponds, lakes, streams, rivers, and canals No surface bodies of water <br /> were identified as a sensitive receptor within 2,000 feet of the site SECOR also did not <br /> identify any public schools within the 2,000-foot search radius <br /> 2.4 Summary of Remedial Action <br />' Source removal conducted at the site to date has consisted of dewatering the tank pit during <br /> the 2003 UST excavation activities During the dewatering activities, approximately 199,090 <br /> gallons of impacted water and a calculated estimate of 243 8 pounds of MtBE were removed <br />' from the tank pit excavation Concentrations of MtBE, TBA, and TAME in water samples <br /> collected following dewatering activities were significantly lower than pre-UST removal and <br /> tank pit dewatering activities (Table 3) <br />' 3.0 CURRENT ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES <br /> 31 Permitting/Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan/Utility Clearance <br /> IBefore the assessment activities were begun, SECOR applied for and obtained well <br /> installation permits for wells S-1, EX-1, MW-7, MW-8, MW-9, CPT-1 and CPT-2 from the <br /> I SJCEHD (Appendix B) In addition to the well installation permits, SECOR also obtained an <br /> access agreement for the installation of MW-8, MW-9, and CPT-2 on the Shell property <br /> located north of the site (Appendix B) <br /> ISECOR prepared a site-specific Health and Safety Plan for well installation and sampling <br /> activities and remediation testing at the site, as required by the Occupational Health and <br /> Safety Administration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency <br /> Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910 120) The document was reviewed and signed by <br /> SECOR personnel and subcontractors performing work at the site <br /> 32262 Assessment&Feasibility Report&SCM doc 3 September 30 2004 <br /> I77EL 32262 04 0502 <br />
