4.0 FINDINGS 4
14 4.1 SOIL
The soil chemical .analytical data are summarized in Table 1, and the total petroleum
14 > hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, .and methyl. tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE)
analytical results are, presented on. Figure 3. The laboratory analytical reports are
presented in Appendix E.
3
4.2 GRAB GROUNDWATER
Thegrab groundwater chemical analytical data from boring SB-2 is summarized in
Table 2, and the TPHg, benzene, and MTBE analytical results are presented-on Figure 3.
f The laboratory analytical report is presented in Appendix E.
i
4.3 GROUNDWATER
Blaine Tech Services,.Inc. (Blaine) developed wells MW-9 and MW-10 and collected their
initial groundwater samples on September 9, 2008. The well development data is
provided in Appendix F. Monitoring well MW-10 was resampled on October 16, 2008 to
confirm the initial MTBE detection.
Blaine gauged and sampled all wells according to the established monitoring program
for this site. Blaine coordinated the groundwater monitoring event with 7-Eleven
Store#32262,located at 2360 West Grant Line Road.
CRA prepared a vicinity map (Figure 1) and a groundwater contour and chemical
concentration map with.benzene and MTBE analytical results (Figure 4). The Blaine
report; presenting the analytical data, is included in Appendix F. Groundwater
h
monitoring data from.the adjacent 7-Eleven station is included in Appendix G.
Shell performed.monthly groundwater extraction (GWE) from wells MW-2 and MW-6
using .a vacuum truck. Groundwater analytical data and mass removal data are
presented on Table 3. Monthly, groundwater extraction analytical data for wells MW-1
f and MW-6 is included in Appendix F.
241861(1) 5 CONESTOGA-ROVERS&ASSOCIATES
l
