CHRONOLOGY
Shell Service Station
2375 Grant Line Road
Tracy, CA 95376
01/27/03 Four groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-4) were installed by Shell
as part of an environmental assessment of the property.
03/07/03 Laboratory analytical results from groundwater samples collected this date from
the monitoring wells reported petroleum hydrocarbon impact to the water. See
KHM Environmental Management, Inc. "GRASP Site Assessment Report", dated
May 1, 2003
03/25/03 Unauthorized Release Report #03-U05 filed this date (electronic submission
#7102872550)
04/28/03 Proposition 65-Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge report #03-018 filed
this date.
04/28/03 Notice of Responsibility sent this date to property and tank owner Equilon
Enterprises LLC.
07/15/04 Record Fee Title Owner Letter submitted this date by Equilon Enterprises LLC
dba Shell Oil Products US.
11/04/04 Native soil samples were collected at depths of approximately 5-8 feet below
surface grade (bsg) during dispenser upgrade activities. Petroleum hydrocarbon
contamination was reported in the samples.
01128105- Groundwater monitoring wells (MW-5, MW-6 and MW-7), and cone penetrometor
03/07/05 test boring (SB-1) were installed over these dates. See Cambria's "Site
Assessment Report & Updated Sensitive Receptor Survey", dated June 20, 2005.
Grab groundwater samples collected from SB-1 at 52, 72 and 82 feet bsg were
reported `non-detect' for all constituents analyzed, providing vertical definition of
the groundwater contaminant plume.
07/05/05 In "Groundwater Monitoring Report — Second Quarter 2005", Cambria
recommends conducting interim remediation by groundwater batch extraction on
wells MW-1 and MW-6. These wells are the most significantly impacted wells on
the site. Monthly batch extraction began in August 2005 and continued until
January 2009.
06/24/08 One groundwater monitoring well (MW-9) and one soil boring (SB-2) were
installed this date to investigate the lateral extent of the groundwater contaminant
plume offsite. See Cambria's "Subsurface Investigation and Fourth Quarter 2008
Groundwater Monitoring and Remediation Report", dated January 23, 2009.
08/15/08 One groundwater monitoring well (MW-10) was installed this date. See
Cambria's January 23, 2009 report referenced above. This well had MtBE
contamination in the groundwater; but, there were detections of MtBE in the soil
samples also, and it is located over 400 feet offsite.
