According to the WHF Environmental Consultants Inc.,report dated April 19, _
1993,the site was a restaurant and auto repair shop dating back to the 1920's with gasoline for sale at
a hand operated pump. Signal Oil operated a service station on site from June 1954 to August 1964.
The pumps and tanks remained on site from 1964-1977,although property occupants and site use
during this period is unknown. A small cafe (Grant Line Lunch) was on site in 1977 along with the two
pumps, however it is not known if fueling operations were active at this time.
In 1978 the two 250-gallon underground storage tanks and the two pumps were removed from the site.
In 1985 the property was purchased by AI and Ed Petrig, who demolished the station and built the
oreeao..ra
offi'm throughout the U.S..Canada and t vawas
