SAN J O � � I `II411, Environmental Health Department <br /> C 0 U N 'f y <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> SKYVIEW AVIATION 5749 S TRACY BLVD,TRACY September 13, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following were observed in the hazardous waste storage area: <br /> -Secondary containment for one 55 gallon container with used oil observed with approximately 1-2 inches of oil <br /> accumulating in the bottom. <br /> -One secondary containment for two 5 gallon buckets with used oil observed with approximately 1 inch of oil <br /> accumulating in the bottom. <br /> Note: Operator states that he leaves the 5 gallon buckets with oil in the secondary containment to control the oil <br /> after transferring the oil from the airplanes to the 55 gallon container with used oil. <br /> Three used oil filters found draining were transferred into one 55 gallon container for used oil filters while inspector <br /> was on site. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean the oil accumulating in the secondary containment. Manage the waste <br /> according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste.
