Operator corrected on site by finding <br /> ring for the lid and securing it on. <br /> Note: operator states that he hauls used paper and metal oil filters as hazardous waste. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br /> were: <br /> -One 55 gallon container with used oil observed with no accumulation start date and no hazardous waste properties <br /> listed. Operator corrected on site by putting start date of(7/30/19)and checking toxic hazardous property. <br /> -One 55 gallon container with used oil filters observed with no accumulation start date. Operator corrected on site, <br /> put accumulation start date of(7/30/19). <br /> -Two 5 gallon buckets with used oil observed with no hazardous waste label. <br /> -One 1 gallon container with used oil observed with no hazardous waste label. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste.
