SOIL QUALITY EVALUATION
WEST LANE PLAZA
ST04 K ON,CA 11FORNIA
li
1.0 INTRODUCTION
i;
In this report, we present the results of our soil 1.1 Purpose
quality evaluation for the above-referenced site,
located at 1209, 1213, and 1239 East Hammer Lane
and 8037 North West Lane in Stockton, California
(Figure 1 and 2). As you know, we recently
completed a Phase I preliminary environmental
i;
assessment for the site and presented the results in
the report dated June 7, 1993. The purpose of the
current investigation was to evaluate soil quality near
an underground waste oil storage tank at the site.
The site is currently occupied by a shopping 1.2 Site Description/
complex. Insta Lube, the tenant at 1309 East Background
Hammer Lane, operates a 500-gallon underground
y
waste oil storage tank at the site. No unauthorized
releases or spills associated with the tank have been
Ig
reported. The tank was presumably installed during
construction of the on-site buildings in the early
1980s.
IS
The scope of work performed during this 1.3 Scope of Work
11
investigation included the following:
i
• Supervising the drilling j and logging of three
exploratory borings adjacent to the under-
ground storage tank (UST) to a depth of
approximately 12 feet.
i
LOWNEVASSOCIATES i, `Page 1
Environmenicl/Geolechnic6I/Engineerin9 Services
