q <br /> PACIFIC <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> GROUP INC I V 1: <br /> 2r5 4.7 <br /> December 22, 1997 <br /> Project 911-008 lA <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Work Plan for Underground Storage Tank Replacement <br /> Service Station 45447 <br /> 1469 E Hammer Lane <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Knoll <br /> On behalf of Tosco Marketing Company (Tosco), Pacific Environmental Group Inc <br /> (PACIFIC) will be performing environmental services associated with underground <br />. storage tank (UST) replacement activities at the above referenced site (Figures 1 and 2) <br /> A Tosco-approved contractor will be responsible for all construction activities associated <br /> with the station demobilization, including UST and product Iine permitting, removal, and <br /> disposal Activities are tentatively scheduled to begin in January 1998 The purpose of <br /> this Work Plan is to notify the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD) of the upcoming UST replacement activities and briefly discuss the sampling <br /> procedures to be followed during UST and product line replacement activities <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at the intersection of E Hammer Lane and West Lane in Stockton, <br /> California The site is an operating service station and mini-mart that retails gasoline and <br /> diesel fuel The site currently contains three gasoline USTs of 10,000 gallon capacity, <br /> one diesel UST of 10,000 gallon capacity, and associated product lines and dispensers <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Four USTs and associated product lines are scheduled to be removed by a Tosco <br /> approved contractor during January 1998 Upon removal, each tank and associated <br /> product lines will be transported by an approved contractor for disposal or recycling <br /> Soil and groundwater (if necessary) compliance samples will be collected from below the <br /> 2025 Gateway Place, Suite 440, San Jose, California 95110 (408)441-7500 FAX (408)441-7539 { <br />
