SOMA <br /> February 11, 1993 Working To Restore Nature <br /> BP Oil Facihty No 11191,Stockton,California <br /> n in <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX} using EPA Methods 5030/8020 <br /> (modified) <br /> The results of the laboratory analysis of soil samples are summarized in Table 1, while the <br /> official laboratory reports and Chain of Custody records are included in Appendix E. <br /> I4.0 DISCUSSION OF RESULTS <br /> The results of the field activities and laboratory analysis of soil samples collected during this <br /> preliminary investigation are discussed below. <br /> The results of the field investigation and laboratory analyses indicated the following. <br /> • Ground water was not encountered in the soil borings during drilling. <br /> I • Soil type encountered at the site generally consisted of silt and sand to a total depth of <br /> 45.5 feet below ground surface <br /> I O Detectable concentrations of TPHg were not present In the soil samples collected from <br /> borings B-1 and B-2 Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX)-were' <br /> detected up to 0 088 ppm in soil samples collected at depths of approximately 10 feet <br /> below ground surface from bonngs B-1 and B-2, drilled adjacent to the underground fuel <br /> storage tanks <br /> • Detectable concentrations of TPHg and BTEX were not present in the soil samples <br /> collected and analyzed from boring B-3, drilled adjacent to the dispenser islands <br /> southeast of the sales office. <br /> Detectable concentrations of TPHg were not present to the soil samples collected from <br /> boring B-4 Benzene; toluene,-ethylbenzene, and total xylenes were detected up to 0 052 <br /> ppm in soil samples collected at depths of approximately 10 feet and 45 feet below <br /> ,ground surface from boring-B-4, drilled adjacent to-the dispenser island-southwest of the, <br /> sales office . <br /> 17050()l 3 <br /> I <br />
