3.1.2 PERMITS
The excavation contractor will be responsible for obtaining any required permits (e.g.
grading permit) from the City of Tracy and any other regulatory agencies and pay the
associated fees.
CRA will submit the permit registration documents (PRDs) and prepare a Storm Water
Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) to obtain coverage under the Construction General
Permit (CGP) Order 2009-009-DWQ,if necessary. The contractor will be responsible for
implementation of the SWPPP with support from CRA. CRA will prepare and submit
all related reports and submit the Notice of Termination (NOT)when appropriate.
3.1.3 SITE HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN
CRA will prepare a Site specific health and safety plan (HASP) to be reviewed and
signed by all Site workers and kept on site during all field work. The HASP will include
Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for tasks applicable to the scope of work. Tailgate meetings
with all site workers will be conducted each morning and at the end of each day.
3.1.4 SURVEY
CRA will retain a California-licensed land surveyor to mark the discrete locations prior
to excavating. The surveyor will then return after the excavations are complete to
survey the final limits and verification sample locations.
3.1.5 UTILITY CLEARANCE
The contractor will mark the Site and contact Underground Service Alert to clear the
work area with the utility companies. A private utility locating service will be used to
ensure that the proposed work areas are not in conflict with any underground utilities.
Where utilities are identified, the contractor will attempt to clear the location using
passive means (i.e.air knife).
060223(33) 7 CONESTOGA-ROVERS&ASSOCIATES
