The material gravity feeds from the teed bin into an
enclosed auger syatem which Is positioned under the fed bin.
Vacuum linen leading to a bag house (positioned over the enclosed
auger syntom) are connected to the auger system (approximately
midway at oach Of two auger sections) . The bag house functions to
establish a continuous vacuum within the enclosed auger system
and removes dust particulates from the air stream.
In accordw ce with air quality permit conditions, no more than
150 cubic yards per day of contaminated material will he
prOceOsad utilizing the above described system.
Phage II (Carbon Canister)
In addition to the process equipment described above, a two
thousand (2, 000) pound Carbon bed will be added if Phase I
Production indicates addition of carbon is economically feasible
( 2, 000 pounds of carbon is required to accommodate 600 cfm of air
and associated hydrocarbons flowing through the bag house) . Ail
air discharged from the bag house will flow through the carbon
bed and the cicaaned air will then be vented.
BOGause hydrocarbons generated by the process are captured by
the carbon rather than discharged to the air, the permissible
volume of material which can be processed per day can be
substantially increased_
EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION
Phase 11
( 1 ) One 32 ' long 16" horizontal screw auger;
(2) One 17, long 16" sorew auger positioned @ 450 angle.
(3) One 600 cfm bag house;
ase I e
( 1 ) Phase I equipment plus a 2, 000 pound carbon bed.
