r <br /> Beacon Station No 1641 July 10 2003 <br /> Stockton California Prehminary Results Re art and Work Plan Addendum <br /> further drilling in the immediate area of soil boring B-5 until interim remediation has <br /> reduced the mass of hydrocarbons present in the shallower soil andg roundwater <br /> All fieldwork shall be conducted in accordance with Horizon Field Methods and Procedures <br /> (Appendix B) The scope of work to be performed shall be accomplished by the following <br /> tasks <br /> Task 1 Secure off-site property access agreements or encroachment permits as needed <br /> to install monitoring wells in off-site locations Schedule a C57-licensed <br /> driller to perform drilling and well installation services Obtain required well <br /> permits from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> Update the Site Health and Safety Plan Notify Underground Service Alert <br /> (USA) to identify and locate underground utilities in the site area <br /> Task 2 Drill 8-inch diameter soil borings using hollow-stem auger equipment and <br /> . install monitoring wells MW-9 through MW-13 in the borings Record <br /> sampling information, field screening and soil description data, and well <br /> construction details on soil boring logs during drilling and well installation <br /> Describe soils using the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) Collect <br /> soil samples at 5-foot intervals with a split-spoon sampler for lithologic <br /> logging purposes and for potential analyses where necessary to supplement <br /> site soil data The soil boring MW-11 will be continuously cored/sampled <br /> from 100 to 135 feet bsg to evaluate the soil profile through this interval and <br /> for evaluating placement of the screened interval for the 135-foot wells <br /> Monitoring well screened intervals may be adjusted based on the soil types <br /> encountered during drilling Monitoring wells MW-11, MW-12, and MW-13 <br /> will be screened in a soil interval that appears to be water bearing and <br /> transmissive <br /> WPaddnm7-03 <br /> ProjectNo 1641 16 8 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC <br />
