Beacon Station No 1611 July 10 2003 Stockton Calitornia Preliminary Results Report and Work Plan Addendum Field screen soil samples for the presence of volatile hydrocarbons with a photo-ionizatton detector (PID) or equivalent device Stockpile drill cuttings at the site on and covered with vtsqueen Collect four representative samples of the drill cuttings stockpile for characterization and disposal purposes Monitoring wells shall consist of 2-inch inside diameter (ID) flush-threaded, Schedule 40, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) casing and 2-inch ID, PVC, 0 020-inch slotted well screen Install #3 sand filter pack adjacent to and extending approximately 2 feet above the screened intervals The filter packs shall be sealed with a minimum of 5 feet of bentonite Neat cement sanitary seals shall be set in the remaining annulus after installation of the filter packs and filter seals The flush-mounted well heads shall be fitted with locking caps and the surface shall be completed with flush-mounted traffic-rated vault boxes A typical monitoring well construction diagram is contained Appendix E • Submit selected soil samples from the new monitoring well borings and submit under COC documentation, to Kiff for analysis of TPHg, BTEX, the seven fuel oxygenates, DCA and DBA by EPA Method 8260B Additionally analyze the stockpile sot] sample for total lead by EPA Method 6010 Task 4 Develop and sample the new monitoring wells according to Horizon Field Methods and Procedures Submit groundwater samples under COC documentation, to Kiff for analysis of TPHg.
