California will oversee the drilling and sampling. Four Shelby tubes will be collected from the
borehole. The Shelby tubes will be analyzed for the following parameters:
hydraulic conductivity
bulk density
total porosity
grain size
foe
TOC
Figure 2 presents the approximate location of the soil boring. The soil cuttings generated from
the installation of the soil boring will be drummed. After the contents have been submitted to a
laboratory for testing, the drums will be disposed of at a landfill. Appendix A contains a copy of
the Site Safety Plan for this project.
SOIL BORING ABANDONMENT PROCEDURE
After the completion of the Shelby tube sampling, the borehole will be abandoned using by
tremie grouting. This involves lowering PVC pipe to the bottom of the borehole and then adding
a portand cementfbentonite grout mixture to the hole as the pipe is being lifted.
SOIL BORING INSTALLATION FIRM INFORMATION
RSI Drilling, Inc.
220 N.
