The area where
the investigative work was to take place is currently occupied by large mounds of grain.
Haley &Aldrich also stated the grain will continue to occupy the space throughout the
summer, and relocating the grain to accommodate the investigative work is unlikely
according to Conti Group.
EHD agreed with your consultant's request to delay implementation of the proposed work
until the grain is relocated. EHD reminded Haley &Aldrich that you are to continue
conducting quarterly sampling of the monitoring wells and submitting quarterly reports in
accordance to California Code of Regulation Title 23 Division 3, Chapter 16, Section 2653
(d). Submit a proposal to EHD if you or your consultant would like to reduce the sampling
j frequency of monitoring wells that have been historically "non-detect" if it can be shown
that a reduced sampling frequency will not result in a less effective monitoring program.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jeffrey Wong at (209) 468-0335.
Donna Heran,REHS,Director
Environmental Health Division
Jeffrey on
ffre WSenior REHS Nuel C.
