This comment period will allow the public time to direct their written concams to PHS-EHD. During this comment period, no corrective action can be conducted. In addition, a revised site map showing the vertical and lateral limits of the proposed over-excavation should be included in the addendum. A calculation of the total cubic yards proposed to be removed is to be included also. Soil samples are required when the over-excavation is completed and PHS-EHD will direct where the five samples in the excavation will be collected. Your proposal includes only the laboratory analyses for TPH-G, TPH-D, TPH-SS, and BTEX. PHS-EHD selected soil and all groundwater samples are to be additionally analyzed for Chlorinated Hydrocarbons. At least two consecutive five foot soil samples per boring and the over-excavation soil samples are to be tested by the appropriate EPA Method (80101601-624). The well boring permit application'you have submitted with the work plan requires a $89 permit fee. Please submit this permit fee, your work plan addendum that addresses all of the concerns noted in this letter, and an updated site specific safety plan before July 13, 1998.
